Scene from the recent movie 'Joyeux Noel' - a depiction of the Christmas truce. As far as I know there wasn't any unofficial armistices between French and German troops - from what I remember reading the fact that the Germans were invaders prevented any kind of camaradery along the front lines between those nation's soldiers.
