    Another powerful scene. I'm not sure about the order to attack *during* the bombardment though? Have you seen the film? It sounds like an interesting and powerful one to watch, especially as it mainly focusses on immediately post-war. I'll have to try to track it down, I think. Thanks for posting the link.

      I came back to this post to thank you for alerting me to this film. I bought a copy of the DVD and watched it with a friend this week. It is excellent. An interesting and moving story, beautifully filmed and acted and quite pointed in some of the comments about post-war France. Highly recommended.
