Battle of Lissa 1866

    That battle with rams and steam ships puts the tiny affairs in the US Civil War to shame.

    Thank you for posting this item and photos. I had not heard of the Battle.

    Larger ship battles to come in the Paraguayan War and the War of the Pacific. One vessel is still afloat, the Huáscar from the Chilean Navy.
