I have a soft spot for this film. I saw it at the cinema when I didn't know what a siege was and had never heard of the Alamo. I think my parents thought I would like it. Anyway 190 years. Battle of the Alamo - Wikipedia

My interest in the Alamo was festered by the Walt Disney film "Davy Crocket" with Fess Parker. I have a photo of me in the appropriate "coonskin" cap, which was probable rabbit fur and ended up going mouldy. Then there was the Walter Lord book "A Time To Stand".
