World War One video games

Back in the 90s when computers were new my Father-in-law had a WW1 flight game where you went on missions in different aircraft. It was fun so I thought I would look and see what is out there. Wikipedia have a handy.list here. Do you recommend any of them?

  1. The game "Rise of Flight" on Steam is a good deal if you can get it on sale. There are several modules of the game, covering various aircraft, though the free initial download will give you a Spad, Nieuport and Albatross to start out - more than enough to satisfy your hankering to fly in 1914. Graphics are good, flight models are realistic though the AI enemy leaves something to be desired. The game is sort of old, so you don't need a super powerful computer. On sale, you can get modules with almost all the best planes of the Great War for less than $20 combined.
