When I was a youngster I bought from a second hand stall some painted toy soldiers. There were French and German in uniforms of 1914. Roughly painted in gloss colours they were about 30mm and crudely sculpted in toy soldier style. So it set my mind to thinking the best style of miniature would be in the style of the time. This page has about the demand for British made toy soldiers was unprecedented. Anybody know of any 1914 figures in archaic style about? John Bertolini's 1914 figures
