Early WW1 Germans from Poland

I thought these were very good. Early WW1 German line Infantry impressions. Thanks to Michal Wozniakowski.

Most of us make Infanterie-Regiment Graf Kirchbach (1. Niederschles.) Nr.46 impressions (garrison: Posen), recently a group from Danzig making 5. Gren. Rgt joined us, that’s why the unit is mixed.

About my (Officers) impression: 1914 junior officer (Oberleutnant) wearing Feldrock M10 made of Trikotstoff with Prussian shoulder boards with yellow backing for V. Armeekorps, woollen Reithose M10 with leather seat, silver officers brockade belt (they were used till mid-1915 when leather belts were introduced) with P08 in holster, Fernglass M08 with leather case (tried to wear it on the back for the first time), officers Pickelhaube with cover, Löwenkopfsabel with officers Portepee on original hanger, Schnurschuhe with Ledergamaschen, grey leather gloves and whistle with cord.

In the pics: German Infantry combat drill according to Regulations for Infantry from May 1906, including close-order shooting and Infantry assault.

Please don’t mind the rifles, 98k’s are the only available blank firing rifles in Poland 😞
