Come and see Queen Victoria's finest at #WillowHall 330 Speedwell Avenue, Morristown NJ, this Sunday, September 17! From 11am to 4pm, the men and women of the 35th #RoyalSussex Regiment will be on the grounds for our #Victorian encampment and field exercise day. Step back to the late #1830s when Victoria was newly on the throne and the British Empire was starting to flex its muscles again following the defeat of #Napoleon years prior. We will be practicing military drills and have firing exercises at 1pm and 2pm with the #BrownBess #musket. Our regimental surgeon will have a demonstration/discussion at 2:30. Our ladies will have fabric craft projects ongoing during the day.
Come say hello to our #reenactors and take a little trip back in time this Sunday at the beautiful Italianate 1848 manor. Willow Hall was built by #NewJersey industrialist and diplomat George Vail and is now in the care of the Passaic River Coalition.
