Voltigeurs de la Garde

Facebook page for this UK group here. They say:
Living History group recreating the dress, drill, lifestyle of the Voltigeurs of the Guard during the Crimean War (1854-56). The Voltiguers faught at all the major engagements of the War, and after failing to hold the "White Works" on 1st -3rd May 1855 - where they lost 650men. The voltigeurs attacked on the 1st May but were repulsed over night; they volunteered to re-take the position the following day, taking it and holding it against anything the Russians could throw at them. It wasn't a surprise that the survivers were all awarded the Legion d'Honneur.
