Of course the 1850s are popular in Italy where there is this group recreating French line (see photos here).

    Nice photos, beware the fourth one, it's a french soldier but in 1840 not in 1852, the collar is taller, the cap is an "african patern 1841" taller and harder than 1852 "kepy".

    It gives me a lot of idears for a french reenactment group concerning Criméa!!
