The ultimate kit item for WW1?

You have to hand it to these guys - (Russian Great War reenactors doing an event near Moscow in 2007) - they have something pretty special.

    I'm still amazed to see Russians reenacting anything. They must have the time, money, and "freedom" to be able to do this for fun. They also seem to a younger bunch than US reenactors.
