French Garde Nationale soldier with Tabatiere rifle 1870and artillery from Wikimedia commons. I really like photos of the Franco-Prussian war - I suppose we're used to seeing pictures from the American Civil War but the F-P war is more unusual to see. There must be loads out there as photography was big in France at the time.
